What gets in the way

The keyboard isn't the only way in.

For a lot of people, typing and clicking aren't free — they cost effort, time, or comfort. Saytomo gives your voice a way to do the same work, in any app you already use.

Typing wears you down

A long message or document is a lot of keystrokes. By the afternoon, your hands — and your focus — are tired.

Pain shouldn't be the price

RSI, arthritis, or an injury can make every key a small toll. Speaking lets you keep working without paying it.

Hunting through menus

The thing you need is three menus deep, or behind a precise click you'd rather not chase. Just ask for it out loud instead.

Switching apps to ask

Leaving your work to look something up means losing your place. The answer should come to you, right where you are.

Why it helps

Less effort, same result.

Fewer keystrokes

Say a sentence instead of typing it. Speaking runs near 220 wpm; typing crawls at ~45. Your hands do far less work.

Fewer clicks

Ask for what you need out loud instead of hunting menus or aiming for a small target. The answer comes to you.

Works everywhere

Mail, Messages, Notes, the browser, your documents — text lands at your cursor in essentially any Mac app with a text field.

No silent failures

If something goes wrong, Saytomo tells you — clearly, in plain words, with what to do next. You're never left guessing.

A day, scene by scene

One keypress, six moments.

Scroll through an ordinary day — watch the right key step in at each turn.

Dictate

Speak instead of type

Press the key and say your message. Fillers and false starts drop away; your words land at the cursor — in Mail, Messages, Notes, or anywhere else you'd type.

Ask · answer

Get an answer, no hunting

Confused by an error or a screen? Press Ask and say your question. A clear answer streams into a floating panel — Copy, Insert, or Close. Your own text is never touched.

Ask · replace

Fix a sentence by voice

Select a sentence and say "make this warmer." Saytomo rewrites it in place — but only replaces on a clear signal. When it's unsure, it just answers, so your text is never destroyed on a guess.

Translate

Translate for family

Speak in the language that's easiest for you, then press Translate to send it in the one your reader needs — in a single step, across 40+ languages.

No silent failures

It always tells you

If anything goes wrong — no network, a permission needed — Saytomo surfaces a clear, actionable message. It never drops your words quietly. You can trust what you sent landed, or hear exactly why it didn't.

Everywhere

Your whole Mac

It works in Mail, Messages, Notes, the browser, your documents — one voice key for essentially any app with a text field. Nothing new to learn per app.

Only Saytomo

Built to be trusted.

The things that matter when a tool becomes how you get your work done.

Works system-wide

One voice key types at your cursor in any Mac app with a text field — no per-app setup, nothing new to learn each time.

Ask, don't click

Press Ask and say what you need. The answer streams into a floating panel beside your work — no menus to hunt, no small targets to aim for.

Your words, spelled right

The default Dictate path is faithful — it cleans up "um"s, never your meaning. Add names and terms to your personal dictionary and they land correctly every time.

No silent failures

Every error surfaces as a clear, actionable message — you're never left guessing whether your words landed. If they didn't, you hear exactly why.

Private & dignified

Audio is never stored, transcripts aren't kept, and nothing trains a model. There's no passive listening — Saytomo only listens the moment you press the key.

40+ languages

Speak whatever language is easiest, mix two in one sentence, or translate on a dedicated key. Simplified and Traditional Chinese are both supported.

Works everywhere

Your whole Mac, by voice.

The apps with logos are just examples — the real point is the system apps that don't, like Mail and Messages and Notes.

Mail · Messages · Notes · and any other Mac app with a text field. macOS 13+.

And the parts you can't see are designed to be just as dependable — the reliability figures beside this are Saytomo's stated design targets, not measured guarantees.

These are Saytomo's stated reliability targets — the bar it's built to, not a measured promise. The one it holds absolutely: zero silent data loss. Every dictation succeeds, fails visibly, or surfaces an actionable error.

Questions

The short answers.

Does it really work in every app?
Saytomo types at your cursor in essentially any Mac app with a text field — Mail, Messages, Notes, the browser, your documents, and more. It works at the OS level, so there's nothing to install per app. The Ask key also answers your spoken questions in a floating panel, beside whatever you're working in.
What if it mis-hears a word?
The default Dictate path is faithful — it removes "um"s and false starts but never changes your meaning. You stay in control: review before you send, fix anything by voice or keyboard, and add names, places, and terms to your personal dictionary so Saytomo spells them right every time.
How reliable is it?
Saytomo is built to design targets of over 99% hotkey-activation success, over 99% injection success, and over 99.9% crash-free sessions. Those are stated targets, not measured guarantees. The commitment it holds absolutely is zero silent data loss: every dictation either succeeds, fails visibly, or surfaces an actionable message — it never drops your words quietly.
Is my voice and data private?
Yes. Audio is processed in the moment and never stored. Transcripts aren't retained on our servers, and nothing is used to train a model. There's no passive listening — Saytomo only listens the moment you press the key, never in the background. The full subprocessor list is on the privacy page.
Is this page — and the app — usable with VoiceOver?
This page is built to be an accessibility exemplar: semantic landmarks, a skip link, real headings, strong visible keyboard focus, captions on the visuals, and AA-contrast text. The app's own Settings are keyboard-navigable and VoiceOver-readable, and accessibility is checked before every release. If you hit a snag, tell us at our contact — we treat it as a real bug.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — 2,000 words a week on a rolling 7-day window, no credit card, free forever. If you want no weekly limit and unlimited assistant keys, Pro is $13/month (or $11/month billed annually). macOS 13+, Apple Silicon and Intel. See full details on the pricing page.
